    Sean Stephens has joined the existing NAI Harcourts team in Hamilton. Sean will primarily look after the thriving Te Rapa East area, while also focussing on industrial areas in Melville and Hamilton Airport. Sean brings 20+ years management experience to the table, all in the fast changing media industry. The last eight were at Fairfax Waikato, the final two years as Commercial Manager, responsible for the Waikato Times, 11 community titles across the region and the national Agri division. So commercial real estate is something of a change, but the management experience and skills garnered over the past 20 years will hold him in good stead as he makes the transition. Previous roles did include a reasonable degree of direct commercial real estate involvement in sales and leasing so the change isn‘t that foreign. “Business has been my professional life for such a long time so this move seems quite natural,” he says. “The most important traits are the same – good customer service and attention to detail. Nail those and you shouldn’t go wrong.” The timing is also perfect, with Hamilton’s current growth unprecedented and canny investors increasingly looking to commercial real estate to make their money work best for them. To capture those opportunities you need a specialist commercial and industrial sales and leasing team, with good market share and reputation to back it up.
